Description: Elongated and plump body; short head and small mouth. Teeth of only one type: jagged incisors, with a long root visible inside the jaw. Lateral line very marked. Bright yellowish gray color, with darker back; flanks with 12 golden longitudinal lines. Up to 40 cm in length.
