Description: Elongated body, laterally compressed. Jambs elongated and thin, beak-shaped, the upper one somewhat shorter than the lower one. Dorsal and anal fins followed by 5 to 7 pinnules. Lateral line very close to the ventral profile. Dark blue color on the back; silver flanks. Up to 45 cm in length.
